Terms of Use

Last updated: 31 July 2026

Dodi (“the app,” “we”) is an invite-only community for intentional dating. These terms exist so everyone knows what this place is, how we expect people to treat each other, and what happens when that trust is broken. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Who can join

You must be at least 18 years old. We require your date of birth at signup and block under-18 registrations. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it.

Membership is by invitation only. Each invite is single-use, expires after 14 days, and links your account to the person who invited you. Do not sell, publish, or mass-distribute invite links.

You may hold one account, under your real name, with truthful profile information. Impersonation, misrepresenting your relationship status, or joining on someone else’s behalf are grounds for removal.

2. What this community is for

This is a place for intentional dating: people looking for a serious relationship, supported by friends who vouch for them. It is not a platform for casual hookups, marketing, recruiting, fundraising, or growing an audience.

Married members participate as Matchmakers — they invite, write references, and propose setups. Matchmakers do not have dating profiles and never appear in discovery.

References are personal vouches and must be honest. Writing a reference for someone you do not genuinely know, or trading references, undermines the entire community and is grounds for removal. Trust signals cannot be bought — ever.

3. Conduct standards

Treat everyone here the way the friend who vouched for you would expect. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • harass, demean, threaten, or deceive other members;
  • send sexually explicit content or persist after a clear no;
  • share another member’s photos, messages, phone number, or profile details outside the app without their consent;
  • use the app to promote a business, cause, or external service, or to solicit money from members;
  • scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract member data;
  • attempt to identify or contact someone who has not matched with you outside the app.

Honesty matters here: about who you are, what you’re looking for, and your circumstances. Kind and clear beats ghosting.

4. Reports and removal

Any member can report a profile or message. Reports are confidential — the reported person never learns who reported them.

If two different members report the same person, that profile is automatically hidden pending review. After review we may restore the profile, issue a warning, or remove the account.

We may remove an account that breaches these terms, was created without a valid invite, or is no longer in good standing with the community that vouched for it. Removal voids the account’s unused invites, and accounts invited by a removed member may be reviewed. Blocking is always available, is mutual, and is never disclosed to the blocked person.

If you believe your account was removed in error, you can reply to the removal notice and a human will take a second look.

5. Your content

You own what you post — your photo, prompt answers, references, and messages. You give us the limited licence needed to store, process (including the blurred photo variant), and display that content inside the app as the product is designed to work. We never sell your content or use it for advertising.

6. Paid features

Optional paid features (Member+ and Postcard packs) are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions can be cancelled any time from the billing portal and remain active until the end of the paid period. Purchased Postcards do not expire. Paying never buys visibility of trust signals — references, verification, and endorsements cannot be purchased.

7. Leaving, and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time. Deletion removes your profile, photo, references about you, and personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. No exit interviews, no dark patterns.

8. The boring but important part

The app is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it safe and available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or the conduct of other members — meet in public places and use your judgement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continued use after that is acceptance.
